Lizzie Borden Took an Axe: Book & Icon Design, Fall 2016
In the late 1800’s, Lizzie Borden was convicted of gruesomely murdering her Father and step-Mother. The murders took place in Fall River, Massachusetts and Lizzie was tried in the surrounding cities but was convicted not guilty.
The trial is extremely confusing and the points in the stories never lined up with each other. This is where I grew my inspiration from. By creating a set of 3 books I have explored multiple points of views and created iconography to tell the stories visually. The books are set up loosely so the pages can overlap into other stories just like what happened throughout the trial.
